Objectives

Technology Incubation Centre is embodied under Government’s Technology Development Cluster (TDC) programme. The programme is designed to strengthen linkages between universities/research institutions and industries. The main objective is to activate and promote the acceleration of the commercialisation activities of both the local universities and research institutions.

The TDCs have the following criteria:

To encourage and facilitate the formation and growth of new businesses based upon the research knowledge and expertise available within a university.

To create closer links and a better understanding between universities and industries.
